This month has been a lot of fun for my Project Life.  My grandkids have been busy playing and doing a lot of fun things for me to do my scraping with.  With it being only my husband and myself at home, we don't do much these days, but when I get a chance to get us in photos for something it makes my Project Life pages even better.  I have been branching out a little and doing some paper piecing which you will see on my pages and trying to add a little flair.  I don't like to really journal much so I put what is happening on the actual picture instead.  With all the new kits coming out from Becky Higgins, I can't wait to get some pages done with them.  I don't follow a pattern in what I use, I just go through my cards and see what fits best for that page.  Please enjoy my pages and feel free to leave some love.

Planning your pages

When I plan my pages for project life the first thing I do is print my pictures for the week.  I then place them on the empty pages to see how I want to do the layout.  I love to do paper piecing projects with some of my photo also.  You will see them in my pages.  I am not a great journal person so I try to say something on the pictures themselves when I can.    I am really not a true planner, I just go with the flow of what ever looks good to me.  I do my book by the month.  It is easier for me just in case I get a little behind.

I love to take pictures, lots of them.  But when doing my PL layouts I find that it is okay to just use a few photos to show what the event was about.  There are times you want to have more photos for an event, but just one special one can explain everything.

Sometime we get stuck with what kind of photos we should be taking.  Here are some ideas to help you out.

1.  Notes/Art work on your frig
2.  Your favorite view looking outside a window
3.  Someone cooking in your kitchen
4.  Your place of work
5.  The Grocery Store
6.  The view in your rear-view mirror (or the view in front of you)

Here is week 2 of just the grandsons.  I used Clementine and Baby Boy digital kits for these layouts.

Here is my first digital layout for my Project Life 2013.  My first double layout was inspired by our day in Trinidad, CA.  Our truck broke down on our way home from CA to WA in this quaint little town of only 300.  The people there were amazing.  Here are a few photos of our last day there before heading back home.

Now for the official start of my digital project life, here is Week One, Jan 1-7.
